Yes . . . I think this one is a female. The males are very bright yellow. :)

Thanks, Roo!!! We've got lots of these little ones around our feeder. I think they're so sweet . . . they're so bright and colorful. The females tend to be a greenish yellow and the males are bright yellow. :)

Thanks. Yeah, he does kind of look like a parakeet. He's a bit smaller than a parakeet. They're fun to watch. When they come to feed, there's usually about 5 or 6, and they'll fly around and perch in the trees and flit back and forth between the trees and the feeder. They also have sweet little voices. :)

Oh, see if you can get a boy, too!! I love the little delicate white-silver lining of the feathers and the green is lovely.
