Yes, the male is very bright colored. The female is not so colorful.

Were you shooting through something because all the oriole ones look just not quite sharply focused? They are nice but not perfect. :phew:

Yes, I was shooting through the kitchen window and there was a bit of a glare there. If I were better at using Photoshop, I probably could have edited it out. I need to take some time to just go and sit out where I can see the feeders and focus on them but not be too close to scare the birds, and get some shots from outside.

I hear that. I got some OK photos of a cute little bird on the patio but he was just too close to the glass and I was afraid to move the curtain too much for fear of scaring him. There is really no place I can go outside that doesn't seem to scare them away so my best ones are always through the door. The cardinals wouldn't let me within 30 feet of them even when they were up in the tops of the trees. The lizards are almost as spooky. Fortunately, my Sonoran gopher snakes aren't as human shy.
